We’re very happy to welcome our third apprentice to the Shepherd PR team

Maya Ings, a former student at Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School in Ashbourne, has now started a Business Administration training scheme with us.

The 16-year-old, from Ashbourne, joins us from Buxton college after studying towards her Level 3 Public Service qualification.

She said: “I’m really happy to join the team at Shepherd PR.

“The apprenticeship will give me the opportunity to gain both qualifications and workplace experience.”

Our apprenticeship programme, made possible by long-term relationships with a growing list of clients including Crown Paints, provides the opportunity to learn about public relations, social media and video.

It has already proved a success for two former students at QEGS.

Kathryn Moorcroft is now a full-time PR Account Executive at the business after completing a 12-month social media and digital marketing apprenticeship.

The 20-year-old is also studying towards a leadership and management qualification.

Georgia Handley, 18, has moved into full-time employment at John Pye Auctions after starting her career and achieving her business administration qualification with us.
